Chirurgie Endovasculaire (LEF)

* Purpose

• To represent endovascular surgery in French-speaking Belgium.
• Reflection on nomenclature, training of assistants and continuing education in endovascular surgery.
• Organisation twice a year of symposia independently.
• The LEF has two representatives at the BSVS board. They are named by the LEF board.

* History

The LEF workgroup (Ligue Endovasculaire Francophone) was set up in 2006. This workgroup formed a non-profit association with legal responsability in 2018. The LEF is since 2019 integrated into the BSVS endovascular workgroup.

Two scientific meetings for French-speaking endovascular surgeons and assistant doctors in training are organised each year, one in spring and one in autumn.
