We are pleased to welcome you to our second NOTSS (Non-Technical Skills for Surgeons) Masterclass@OrsI, created for professionals who share a strong passion for training and surgical excellence and designed to integrate human factors into surgical thinking and training.

This course is suitable for surgeons at various level of training, surgical teams, and healthcare professionals involved in surgical procedures or research improving the quality of care in surgery.

Key Objectives

• Explore principles of non-technical skills which contribute to safe surgical care
• Understand the four major categories of non-technical skills: situation awareness, decision-making, team communication, and leadership
• NOTSS toolkit
• Identify and assess non-technical surgical skills through operative video simulations using the NOTSS taxonomy.
